These terms and conditions relate to EOS Training Academy course bookings made online, by phone or by post.

Payments
Full payment is taken at the time of booking. Payment may be made by card over the phone, online by PayPal (using either a PayPal account or a debit/credit card), or by cheque in the post. Payment by cheque must result in cleared funds at least 10 working days before the course date. Cheques should be made payable to Robert Scott Publishing Limited.

Cancellation in Covid times
Because the safety of our customers and staff is of the utmost importance, the transfer element of our Standard Cancellation Policy (below) is suspended. Bookings can be transferred without penalty should you need to self-isolate because of Covid. The refund element remains in place.

If you are displaying any Covid symptoms in the run-up to your course, you must get tested. If you test positive, you must follow current Government advice on self-isolation. Similarly, if you have been advised to isolate because a member of your household or a close contact has tested positive, then you must follow the rules. In these instances, you must not attend the course.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend your course, and the reason why. We will then place your booking on hold and advise you as soon as a suitable course becomes available.

Standard Cancellation Policy
In the event that you wish to cancel your booking before the event takes place the following refund policy applies:

  – 30 days or more before the course date – full refund or free transfer onto an alternative course;

  – Between 10 and 29 days before the course date – no refund; £25 rebooking fee payable to transfer onto an alternative course;

  – Less than 10 days before the course date – no refund or transfer.

We reserve the right to cancel an event for any reason. In the instance that we cancel a particular date or event we will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible and will offer you the choice of either a full refund of the course fee or an alternative course/date. However, we will not be held liable for other costs/expenditure you may have incurred (such as travel or hotel accommodation).

Any bookings which do qualify for a transfer can only be transferred once. The transfer must be completed within six months of the original course date. This excludes any transfers during Covid times – course bookings can be transferred more than once, where necessary.

Adverse weather
Should we need to cancel your course because of adverse weather conditions, the decision to do so will be based on Met office warnings. To protect both our staff and our customers, any course scheduled to be held in an area subject to an amber or red weather warning around the time of the course will be cancelled, with the offer of a full refund or free transfer onto an alternative course.

Likewise should you be unable to attend because your local area is subject to an amber or red weather warning, then you can choose to receive a full refund or free transfer onto an alternative course.

You can find more information on Met Office severe weather guidance here:
http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings/

Refreshments
Classroom courses include a light lunch and refreshments.

Practical events do not include any food or drink, unless otherwise stated. Refreshments are available to purchase at all of the venues we use and there will be suitable breaks in the day for us as a group to be able to get food and drink. Further information will be supplied once you have booked onto a course.

During Covid times, we recommend that you bring a packed lunch to avoid having to queue or to go indoors as we will endeavour to be outside as much as possible.

Dietary requirements
If attending a course where food is provided, please let us know at the time of booking (or shortly afterwards) if you have any specific dietary requirements or allergies. We will do all we can to accommodate your dietary needs. As we use outside caterers for all of our events, we need to know at least 72 hours in advance of the course taking place. If you do not provide this information in advance we will not be able to offer alternative refreshments to meet your needs and you will not be entitled to a partial refund or compensation for extra costs you may incur.

Prices
All EOS Training Academy course prices are inclusive of VAT at the current prevailing rate.

EOS magazine shop promotional codes or EOS magazine subscription/renewal discounts are not applicable to EOS Training Academy events. Likewise, vouchers for EOS Training Academy are only valid as part or full payment towards courses and cannot be used for other services or products from other brands owned by Robert Scott Publishing Limited.

Offers and discounts cannot be applied retrospectively; please check carefully at the time of booking that any discount you are claiming has been applied.

Where a specific tutor is named for an EOS Training Academy event, we reserve the right to substitute an alternative tutor from our experienced team if necessary without notice.
