These terms and conditions relate specifically to EOS Training Academy bookings made online, by phone or post.

Full payment is taken at the time of booking. Payment may be made by over the phone or by card or cheque in the post. Payment by cheque must result in cleared funds at least 10 working days before the course date.

Cancellation policy
In the event that you wish to cancel your booking before the event takes place the following refund policy applies:

  30 days or more before the course date - full refund or free transfer onto an alternative course/date;

  Between 10 and 29 days before the course date – no refund; £25 rebooking fee payable to transfer onto an alternative course/date;

  Less than 10 days before the course date – no refund or transfer.

We reserve the right to cancel an event for any reason. Where we cancel a particular date or event we will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible and will offer you a full refund or alternative course/date. We will not be held liable for other costs/expenditure you may have incurred (such as travel or hotel accommodation).

Adverse weather
Should we need to cancel your course because of adverse weather conditions, the decision to do so will be based on Met office warnings. To protect both our staff and our customers, any course scheduled to be held in an area subject to an amber or red weather warning around the time of the course will be cancelled, with the offer of a full refund or free transfer onto an alternative course/date.

Likewise should a delegate be unable to attend because their local area or the route of travel is subject to an amber or red weather warning, then the delegate can choose to receive a full refund or free transfer onto an alternative course/date.

Full-day classroom workshops in Oxford include a light lunch consisting of sandwiches (selections of meat, fish and vegetarian available), cake and fruit. Tea, coffee, water and biscuits are available all day.

Full-day classroom workshops in London do not include food or refreshments, except water which is available all day. There are plenty of places nearby where you can get some lunch; alternatively please bring something with you to eat at lunchtime.

There are no refreshments provided on any practical day event. There may also be admission fees on some events, which you are responsible for and are not included in the course price. You are also responsible for your own travel costs and car parking where applicable.

Dietary requirements
If attending a classroom workshop in Oxford where refreshments are provided, please let us know at the time of booking (or shortly afterwards) if you have any specific dietary requirements or allergies. We will do all we can to accommodate your dietary needs but, as we use outside caterers for all of our events, we need to know at least 72 hours in advance of the course taking place. If you do not provide this information in advance we will not be able to offer alternative refreshments to meet your needs and you will not be entitled to a partial refund or compensation for extra costs you may incur.

The Oxford-based workshops are held in a beautiful Grade II listed pigeon house. The venue is split over three floors linked only by flights of stairs and washroom facilities are only available on the first floor. We cannot currently accommodate visitors with limited mobility – but we are working to resolve this. Please check with us before booking if you are unsure about the suitability of the venue for your fitness level.

The London-based workshops are situated on the ground floor of the Calumet store in Drummond Street, London. There is a small ramp up to the room. This venue is suitable for people with varied mobility. Please call or email to check so we can advise you on the suitability of the event for you.

The practical days are held in locations chosen for their suitability for photography, meaning that uneven ground and steps cannot be avoided. During the course of the event it is normal to walk between two and four miles. The events will run regardless of the weather so make sure you wear/bring suitable clothing to accommodate this. If attending events during the winter months be aware that we will be outside for large parts of the day so you need to dress warmly. If you have any mobility issues it is important that you tell us at the time of booking so we can advise you on the suitability of the event for you.

If you have a carer and would like to bring them along to support you during your course, we may be able to accommodate your carer. There would be no course fee payable for your carer, but your carer may still be subject to entry fees by the venue (practical courses only). Please contact us to discuss your needs.
