Understanding Lightroom

CClassroom course

ABILITY LEVEL: BEGINNER

CAMERA SUITABILITY: All Canon EOS cameras

Lightroom-workshop-eos

Lightroom is arguably the most useful software application for image management. Designed specifically for photographers, it can handle almost every task you’ll need – from camera to print.

In this classroom event, designed specifically for Canon EOS users, we explain what Lightroom can do for you and how it differs from Photoshop or Canon’s Digital Photo Professional (DPP).

After a brief introduction to the capabilities of the latest versions of both Lightroom CC (cloud-based) and Lightroom Classic CC (desktop version) and an overview of what each of the modules can do, you will learn how to create a catalogue, import, sort and tag your images, all within the powerful Library module of Lightroom.

This alone will give you new power over your images, meaning you can find your pictures quickly and easily.

You will learn about each of the different file formats and how to adjust them accordingly using the Develop module. Your tutor will demonstrate with worked examples so you can see what’s possible and how to achieve good results. In addition, the course will touch on saving presets and batch processing – the basis for image editing with ease.

There are a number of output options within Lightroom, which you’ll find out about and how to make the most of these features. We will also cover other key time-saving skills that have the potential to make your post-production and editing workflow smooth and effortless.

By the end of the complete course you’ll have a comprehensive understanding of Adobe Lightroom and be able to use its many cataloguing features to the full.
