You need to bring your own camera and lenses with you. There’s no spare equipment available to loan. You can however rent gear – especially lenses – for short periods from some dealers and specialist photography hire companies for reasonable rates.

Q: Why aren't entry fees included in the course fee (practical events)?
There are various reasons why your course fee is only for tuition:
– There are different rates at venues, depending on your age/circumstances
– You may already have membership for a particular venue (RHS, WWT ec)
– Last-minute bookings mean that we may not be able to get a ticket in time
– Entry fees are non-refundable, so cancellations mean that we lose money

Q: What if I need a carer with me on the day?
Your carer can attend any of our courses with you, free of charge. Some venues may allow free entry in these circumstances – please check the venue’s website. We are not responsible for the accuracy of information on third party websites.

Q: Is there a discount for a group booking?
Currently there’s no discount scheme for multiple bookings onto the same course.

Q: Can I reserve a space on a course then pay later?
We do not hold spaces without full payment. If you are booking online, it’s your responsibility to ensure that the booking has completed successfully. If you register, but don't make payment until the last minute, there may not be space for you.

Q: Can I book two courses at once online?
Unfortunately it's not currently possible to book onto two separate courses on the one transaction. You can phone instead to do this – call 01869 331741 (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm) – or make two separate online bookings.

Q: Will I get my money back if the course is cancelled?
Occasionally we do need to cancel courses if there are insufficient bookings or due to circumstances beyond our control. Where we cancel a course, you will receive a full refund of the course fee paid. However, we are not responsible for anything else you’ve booked, including (but not limited to) hotel, train, entry or hire fees.

Q: Why don’t you run courses near me?
We make every effort to run courses in areas where there is sufficient demand to do so. If there hasn’t been enough interest in a particular location in the past, we will withdraw from that area. Additionally, in order to keep the course fees consistent, we have to factor travel and accommodation costs into choosing locations. We are a small business and receive no financial support from Canon.

Q: Do you maintain waiting lists?
Some courses are in high demand and book up weeks in advance. If a course you’re interested in is already full, we can put you on a waiting list in case a place becomes available. Give us a call on 01869 331741.

Q: What if I don’t know as much as other people on my course?
We recommend that you check the ability level for each course carefully before booking and, if you’re not sure, give us a call. Additionally, the pre-course tutorials are designed to make sure that everyone on a course is at a similar starting point.
